Cutimed Sorbact - Dressing Pads (10cm x 20cm) (x1 or 20)
Cutimed Sorbact can be used to treat all types of contaminated, colonised, or infected exuding wounds, regardless of aetiology, including chronic wounds, e.g., venous, arterial, or diabetic ulcers and pressure ulcers, wounds from fistula and abscess removal, wounds that dehisced after surgery and traumatic injuries.
How does it work?
Cutimed Sorbact is the first wound dressing which does not require the use of a chemically active ingredient. Unlike other dressings, Cutimed Sorbact reduces microbial load through hydrophobic contact. Germs become physically and permanently bonded to the dressing's DACC (hydrophobic fatty acid) coated surface, meaning bacteria is removed when the dressing is changed, facilitating the wound's natural healing process. Essentially, the bound wound pathogens are easily and efficiently removed from the wound with each dressing change.
